American Airlines flight leaving London Heathrow to JFK Thursday 20th April 2006. Arrive in the "tilted Kilt" bar in the RIO, Las Vegas 8pm Saturday 22nd April 2006. Wagons Roll

The Route

At 5pm (UK time). Thursday April 20th 2006, The Badger, Andy Wheater, Phillis the Weener and barnes will be leaving work for the Airport, flying to New York.

By 8pm (Pacific Time), on Saturday 22th April 2006, they plan to be drinking Frozen Margaritas in the Rio Hotel, Las Vegas.

This assumes.
The Flight lands at 9.30pm (New York time). customs are cleared, the astro van is collected and the wheels are rolling by Midnight.
This allows 44 hours plus 3hours (crossing time zones) total 47 hours.

Mapquest.com says that the 2523.59 mile journey can be done in 38 hours 37 minutes. A modest 65.349 mph. This leaves 8 hours 23 minutes for rest. Or two four hour nights.

These will be Friday 3am until 7am, somewhere in Pennsylvania, and Saturday 1am until 6am, 2 hours east of Denver.
using the spare 11 and a half minutes each day to check-in, at a Super 8 motel.

Too many tours, not enough time. It's a lame excuse, but given that we are going to Las Vegas in June, we decided to postpone this tour until later.
Then at the last minute, Phillis & myself went to Las Vegas anyway, for four days. Photos to follow. And yes it's still there.
